🦋 Butterfly House: Bridging Recovery to Independence
At Good News Home, we’ve been delivering compassionate addiction recovery services to women for over four decades. While many of our residents graduate with renewed purpose and strength, transitioning to independent living can still be a major hurdle—especially amid the growing scarcity of affordable housing.

The Butterfly House was created to help bridge that gap.

As a temporary, safe, and sober residence, the Butterfly House supports women who have completed substance abuse treatment and are ready for the next step in rebuilding their lives. It provides a structured environment where residents can continue their recovery journey while working toward securing permanent housing—typically within one year.
Why It Matters
The rising cost of housing, driven by inflation and limited rental availability, makes it especially challenging for women in recovery to find safe, stable accommodations. The Butterfly House addresses this critical need by offering:
-
A structured re-entry home for women post-treatment
-
A sober and supportive community
-
Continued case management and peer recovery support
-
Resources for employment, personal development, and long-term planning
Just as a butterfly emerges transformed, so too do the women who pass through this house—stronger, steadier, and prepared for independent living.
