"The SAMHSA sponsored Recovery Walk was organized to show that recovery exists here in the Garden State where thousands of New Jerseyans are living quality lives in recovery, drug and alcohol free. The Walk is a celebration of recovery for those in recovery, their family members, friends and other allies, as well as a symbol of hope for the thousands upon thousands still in the throes of addiction, so that they and their families and friends can have hope and see that recovery is not only possible, but a reality for many whose lives at one time were hopeless and full of despair."
NJ addiction treatment providers, like the Good News Home, will be sending Recovery Delegations to compete in the Battle of the Banners. The winner will be awarded $500 to assist it in combating alcohol and drug addiction.

Meetings are free of charge and open not only to family members of Good News Home residents, but to the general public as well.
